What's
this Woo Woo Teacup business?
Woo
Woo Teacup Publishing is the self-publishing venture of Minnesota
author Mary Warner. Because there are bazillions of Mary Warners
in the world and a fair number of them online, I decided I needed a
distinctive name in order to stand out from the rest. I conjured the
name in October 2007 for my
blog - The Woo Woo Teacup Journal.
It proved memorable enough to use as a business name.
The "Woo Woo" part of the name is in deference to those strange
serendipitous
events in life that give one the shivers. The "Teacup" (pictured in the
banner) is a nod to my family. I inherited this teacup from my mom, who
got it from her mom or grandma. I love the unusual juxtapositon of
words, which is probably a quality I share with many writers.
Pairing "Woo Woo" with "Teacup" also shows my whimsical
design sense. (Look at all those
round, organic letters!) I trained as an artist before becoming an
author, so design is important to me.

At
this time Woo Woo Teacup Publishing is solely a conduit for
self-publishing. I am not accepting book manuscripts from
other authors for publication under the Woo Woo Teacup Publishing
imprint.
